Florida Country Inn and Suites Hotel-Review
First impression
When you first walk in we are sure you'll be blown away by the spiral staircase. It's a nautical feel once you walk in. There's a few seating areas as well as a mini office area with computers and a printer.
Lobby
The lobby area is the focal point. The spiral staircase is the best part of the lobby. Well, maybe the helpful employees who completed check-in within minutes! That's a bonus while traveling. The Lobby area directs you to the continental breakfast area (another BONUS) there's plenty of seating at breakfast time and a great view of the pool while you eat.
Room
The room was simple yet comfortable and inviting. The hotel is all about presenting energy, so lights only come on with a sensor. It's a fairly new hotel.
Area
The area is surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Mellow Mushroom is in walking distance and buffet style restaurants. Some restaurants include: Chicken Salad Chick, Culver's, Tijuana Flats, Asian Bistro, Panera Bread, and Pi Five Pizza. Travel a little further under the bridge and there's "The Pavilion" a SHOPPING center and MORE restaurants including a Movie Theatre. And no worries if you forget something at home. There's a Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens.
Beach- the beach is about a 15 minute drive away. The drive isn't so bad because there's lots to see and more hidden restaurants and shopping along the way.
Overall
On a scale from 1-5 (5 being the highest).... A 5 for sure. The customer service was superb! The location is perfect for everything even though the beach is a few minutes away. It'll give the family time to bond and play a car game (something beach themed) since you're so close to Daytona Beach or New Smyrna Beach.
