If you're like most people, food is an important part of your travel! You're excited and anxious to try local dishes, and you've lost a few pounds just so you can afford to stuff your tummy with all of the fixings! New Smyrna Beach is home to some great seafood and other little treats as well. Check out the list of our favorite 6 restaurants you should visit while down in the Shark Bite Capital of the World. Check back later for more restaurants to visit while in the area.

1. The Garlic- if it's Tuesday and you're a lady, you are in luck! It is half off when you dine in at the bar. This local spot has been featured on the Travel Channel Must try's: the Sangria, mashed potatoes, seafood pasta. Photo Credit- The Garlic Facebook Page

2. Fingerlickin BBQ & Wings - Only open Thursday- Saturday, you'll have to make your way there fast! The pulled pork is must have as well as their chicken and shrimp dipped in their famous Fingerlickin sauce. You may want to ask for extra sauce to dip your fries in (yum yum good!) 3. Dolphin View- If you are a seafood lover this is home to some of the best lightly breaded flounder and some delicious cheese grits. Don't forget the side of hush puppies (oh yeah!) the cool thing about Dolphin View is, there's a riverboat cruise you can take after you've enjoyed a buffet dinner. 4. C's Waffles- open for breakfast and brunch these waffles melt in your mouth! With two locations in New Smyrna. You have to make it to one of the two locations. Other items are offered on their menu, but the name of the restaurant is a great hint in what to order ☺️. Photo Credit- C's Waffles Facebook Page

5. The Local Butcher- New Smyrna Beach weather can get HOT! Cool off with A scrumptious chicken salad sandwich served with a pickle spear on a homemade bun. Pictured below is the Butifurra Sandwich another awesome sandwich. Photo Credit- The Local Butcher Facebook Page

6. Banana Split Republic- Everyone needs dessert right? Head over to this quiet hidden treasure with some of the best ice cream in town. It's rich and creamy! Sometimes a scoop of vanilla ice cream will do the trick or if you're brave sample an out of the box flavor like pumpkin during November. Photo Credit- Banana Split Republic Facebook Page
