Summertime in Florida-New Smyrna Beach Style
What does Summertime mean to you? Is it nice weather? Lots of sun? Food? Family? Relaxation?
Jetsetting Diva Rekia says, "Summertime is BBQ and Ice Cream!"
Her recent stay-cation in her hometown New Smyrna Beach, Florida was spent enjoying family and great treats.
Two pit stops she recommends if you're in the area-Yellow Dog Eats and Donna's Canal Creamery, both downtown on Canal Street. In walking distance you can enjoy a yummy pulled pork sandwich (she suggests "Club Elvis" -pulled pork with pecan smoked bacon, Gouda cheese, crispy fried onions, topped with BBQ sauce), chips, and coleslaw for under $12 (You can't beat that!).

Don't forget DESSERT! Donna's Canal Creamery is home to a variety of Hershey's Ice Cream...Superman, Banana Pudding, and Salted Cookies and Cream if you're adventurous :-). JetSetter Rekia opted for a simple scoop of vanilla for her summer day trip.
